Magnet Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are open from October 1st, 2025 through January 15th, 2026.
Students/Parents may apply online through the M-DCPS Parent Portal during the open application period beginning October 1st through January 15th of each year. Step-by-step instructions on how to apply may be found at https://yourchoicemiami.org/magnet-application
Applications are open to incoming 9th and 10th graders (students currently in 8th and 9th Grade). We do not require a letter of recommendation.
Magnet Applications and Admissions Timeline:
October 1, 2025 – January 15, 2026
Application submission is open for all Magnet programs. Apply online through the Parent Portal.
January 15th
Applications and support documentation must be uploaded.
March 15th
Acceptance, waitlist, or decline notification letters available via the SchoolMint dashboard through the Parent Portal.
April 4th
Deadline for parents to accept or decline invitation for their student to attend Miami Southridge Senior High School.
